The Blog of Champions

Part of a Nutritious Breakfast

I’ve heard people complain about ESPN/ABC’s coverage of Big Brown’s epic loss. The naysayers said that not enough emphasis was placed on Da’Tara’s win, that it was all about Big Brown. And I agree with them. To an extent. They should’ve spent more time on Da’Tara. But would people be complaining if they hadn’t spent enough time on Big Brown? I think they would be. They really didn’t have a choice. This was a huge story. Personally, I wanted to hear about Big Brown. Sometimes, ESPN/ABC can go overboard. They can focus to much on the big stars (see Romo, Tony), the celebrities of sport. But in this case, I have no problem. I don’t mind that they focused on Big Brown. Because that’s what I wanted to know about.

  1. Sometimes they go overboard? How about all the time?

But yeah, I didn’t see a big problem with it.
